A dabs.com customer has triumphed in a competition run by visual technology company NVIDIA and computer manufacturer Asus, winning £1,200 to spend on computer supplies.
The contest was open to those who had purchased any Asus SandyBridge Motherboard and an Asus graphics card from the GTX500 series from a participating retailer during July 2011. To be in with a chance of winning, entrants were required to correctly answer a technical question about the monitor attachment capacity of the Asus GTX590 graphics card.
As well as dabs.com, people entered via retailers OCUK, SCAN, Ebuyer, ARIA, YoYotech and Dino PC.
dabs.com customer David West was drawn at random from a collection of accurate respondents and was delighted to receive his prize.
“Wow, I can’t believe I’ve won,†he said. “At first I was just happy to have bought some computer supplies at fantastic prices – but now I can pick some more. I really need a few things right now, so this opportunity has come along at just the right time for me.â€
He added: “I’d like to say a big thank you to dabs.com, Asus and NVIDIA for running this competition and offering such a great prize.â€
dabs.com sells a wide range of products by both NVIDIA and Asus, from laptops to graphics cards, cables and hard drives.
dabs.com Product Manager, Duncan Rutherford, said: “We really enjoy running competitions such as this, as they reward real enthusiasts who care about their technology products.
“They are also a great way for us to celebrate our strong relationship with high-quality suppliers like Asus and NVIDIA.â€
